1. In Dick Cheney's basement, with the bodies of staffers who displeased him.

And random animals he found annoying.

2. Not to mention the corner

where he made his bin Laden video tapes. I never believed those were real. Bin Laden speaking from various caves in Pakistan? Right ...

Cheney should go down as one of the most evil politicians in history.

3. I don't doubt Bin Laden made the tapes.

The Bush regime just chose to release them according to its own highly politicized schedule, to screw with poll numbers and distract attention from scandals (of which there were never a shortage).

7. The 'heightened alerts' from Gitmo prisoners were the same thing

"We have credible information from people we've held incommunicado for three years that something real bad is going to happen this weekend."

I can just see it now: "Abdullah, they fell for it again!"

8. Remember "Orange Alerts"?

They were reliable indicators that Bush's poll numbers had been falling, or that some scandal had just broken.

Those people were such wretched, tyrannical traitors.

14. Exactly. Those are the alerts I was thinking of, but couldn't remember the color.

My biggest concern was that the terrorists would have figured out these things were being used as a diversion from one of Shrub's fuckups, and pulled a BIG attack in the middle of one.

What a waste of a building.

10. Maybe they will offer an overnight experience where you use plastic and duct tape and seal

yourself in a room with a continuous loop of Cheney scamming the public on Meet the Press with Russert.

16. Presidential libraries don't have very many books anyway

I have no idea why these things are called libraries; they've always been museums.

15. Darth Vader

Deserted from the Texas Air National Guard. Set the country back 50 years. Then they build a monument to him. Got to love them Texans.

17. You'll notice they built it on the grounds of a university

If they would have built it on a street somewhere, the temptation would have been FAR too great to buy the gas station across the street and turn it into a Counter-Bush Library - just rows and rows of computers where you can read all about Bush's numerous atrocities, and 30x40 black-and-white prints on the walls of things like

and

To hold those who tortured in perpetuity.
