where he made his bin Laden video tapes. I never believed those were real. Bin Laden speaking from various caves in Pakistan? Right ...

The Bush regime just chose to release them according to its own highly politicized schedule, to screw with poll numbers and distract attention from scandals (of which there were never a shortage).

They were reliable indicators that Bush's poll numbers had been falling, or that some scandal had just broken.

My biggest concern was that the terrorists would have figured out these things were being used as a diversion from one of Shrub's fuckups, and pulled a BIG attack in the middle of one.

If they would have built it on a street somewhere, the temptation would have been FAR too great to buy the gas station across the street and turn it into a Counter-Bush Library - just rows and rows of computers where you can read all about Bush's numerous atrocities, and 30x40 black-and-white prints on the walls of things like
