As they should be, since two of the fishermen involved have cocaine convictions. Ever since one of them fired a "warning shot" that hit the back of Summer's head a week ago, the 17 year old's condition has been dire; she isn't expected to live.
There were 7 people directly involved. Four teens, including Summer; and three male adults, who say they had heard sounds at 4 am and -- concerned about burglaries in the area -- left their own cabin and loaded some guns and themselves into a boat in order to investigate. The three boys with Summer have been charged with burglary, but none of the adults have been charged yet.

Federal investigators have started their own probe into a Baldwin County fish camp shooting that severely wounded a teenage girl, focusing on whether felony convictions would have made it illegal for 2 of the men to have guns.
Mike Messinger, the resident agent in charge of the Mobile office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said agents began investigating on Friday and are coordinating their efforts with the Baldwin County Sheriffs Office.
Were taking a look at it, getting all the details, Messinger said. Not sure what the outcome will be.
According to an account by the Sheriffs Office, 3 couples were staying at a fishing cabin in a remote spot in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta when they heard noise from an adjacent camp. The 3 men went to investigate, and one of them ended up shooting Summer Moody in the head.

This whole story never made sense, but at least the media is keeping on it.
