No Child Left Behind Education Policy and Promotions by GW and Jeb Bush to Return to Texas.

What an insult to Texas school children, their parents and the community of local school districts.

Gregg Abbott, 20 year Texas politicians continues to corrupt the state, in my opinion.

Cross Post from Texas DU. Contains links on policy and corruption in Texas.

Abbott said he wants to improve the educational foundation that students receive in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. "I want to ensure that all children finish the third grade reading and doing math at or above grade level," he said.

is an under performing private schooling situation. Charter schools have not been doing very well in Texas and all across the US. Texas just got rid of most of the out of state charter companies. Instate investors of charters looks most likely to me to take the place of public education. GOP, ALEC, Chamber of Commerce have tried to take over public education controlled by Texas Education Code or state laws, so they can follow business regulations not school protection laws. Texas is lack and loose on regulation; a gold mind for privatizers using trigger laws to deceive the public. Rick Perry is great at pulling the trigger in my opinion. Now Perry is handing it off to Abbott and the others.

Texans love their public schools and Friday Night Football, which they may be saying good bye to.
