Did any other DUers hear that lady on CNN say that deBlasio said nothing political

he stated a fact and that while she does worry what her son will do, she does not have to worry about him facing the police while her black CNN colleagues do have to worry.
I don't know her name but nearly keeled over here.

She is a character in a Tom Wolfe novel. You know, the sorority girl gone to seed and threatening her neighbors in Pinehurst.

Visited B. once, so beautiful. The coasts, beaches, Sam Lord's Castle, history, Rum Punch & sugar, flying fish, Little Scotland, cricket, Bridgetown. ~ Before I could reply to the article, the posts deteriorated & I gave up--there was much defense of Ben's fine acting, 'he made it all on his own w/o family money', etc.- caused by the OP writing that his fame was b/c of the money essentially. The responses got fairly crazy.

I've followed Ben almost 10 years, he's an excellent actor, and he did receive benefits from the family name, the family manor home in England, the big payout in 1833 when slavery ended, his ambassador relatives, connections, of course. The Sugar Empire and Barons were huge, as you know from Jamaica and other islands. I'm sure he's aware of all that, must be used to publicity. He discussed slavery and his family when filming 'Amazing Grace' and 'Twelve Years a Slave'; he's considered pretty liberal.

The Guardian article pictured St. Nicholas Abbey, the historic property in St. Peter's, as one of the C. family homes. I thought it an error, but the C.'s purchased it after their earlier property Cleland Plantation. We stopped at the Abbey, walked around, saw the rum distillery. Dunno if you had any interest in this, I did, all things Carib. and West Indies~

had a debate over it way back when and decided to pass.
They all benefited and continue to do so - still a few do feel remorse.

and thought Poppy did a good job sliding her words in edgewise to counter the barrage of bs that DeBlasio should be ashamed for making such a political statement against the police.

Speaking of bs, why would MSNBC allow David Duke to spew his lies and hate as if he is a very reasonable person who believes in rights for all and that his crazy "European" organization is not racist at all. At least Smerconish made him say the word holocaust which he has always refused to say ever took place. The good people of Louisiana are appalled that he has crawled out from under a rock in Austria, after being in prison and expelled from three other countries.
