Faux News celebrity guest for the White House Correspondents Dinner - Lindsay Lohan & Kim Kardashian

I kid you not.

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20590485,00.html?xid=rss-fullcontent
George Clooney, Josh Hutcherson, Lindsay Lohan Invited to White House Correspondents' Dinner

Among the other VIPs: Lindsay Lohan, George Clooney and Zooey Deschanel – having been invited by Fox News, Time and Bloomberg, respectively, Politico reports. Ms. Lohan will be guest of Fox's Greta Van Susteren and accompanied by her lawyer, Shawn Holley.

Other A-listers expected to attend include Charlize Theron, Sofia Vergara, Viola Davis, Daniel Day-Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Jason Schwartzman, Aziz Ansari, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. Kim Kardashian will again be a guest of Fox.

You look at some of the celebrities invited and they are very upstanding, hard-working people who contribute alot of their time & money back to great causes. Faux news digs up a botox-addicted drunk and an attention starved reality star to bring as their guests.

1. Lindsay Lohan is a Democrat.

On Palin, last cylce:
"I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin. Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?"

She asked to assist the President's campaign and was told her silent donations were what they wanted, as her image was not up to their standards. And guess what? That's what she did. They also said the same of Mayor Newsome. ..
I always recommend taking the gossip press as entertainment, not as the sort of reporting one might use to judge another. The shit I see on the gossip rags regarding the President should stand as a reminder as to what that sort of 'press' does, also how they do it and why. I mean, i read in the grocery line on a gossip rag that the Sheriff of Phoenix Arizona has PROOF the President is not American. Ok? Do you think that is accurate? I think it is made up out of thin air. Much of the crap you read regarding others is just as true as that lie. Sorry. That's how it is.

anything that sells a copy. And thus, you are founding your opinion the same way others who take rags like that to heart.
I personally do not reject nor attack young people who are dealing with personal issues in the spotlight. Personally, I wish Lindsay a good life, for she is a good actor, a good Democrat, and no the only person with issues in the world. Her drinking does not harm me, it harms her. I do not know if she is currently drinking or drugging, and I don't think you do either. Just saying. She's 25 years old. Or, 'a drunk and a disgrace'. I just wonder if that's how you'd like your own 25 year old spoken of if your own had some things to deal with? Perhaps it is. It is not how I conduct myself.
And of course, to me, taking a drink is far less amoral than standing up and preaching that your kind of people are worthy or rights some minorities should not get, adding that God agrees and your kind are 'Sanctified'. To me, that is far worse, more harmful to others, than some twenty something needing help with addiction. Addiction is a medical issue, bigotry is a personal choice.

Faux News is treating the White House Correspondence Dinner as a joke.

As for her personal addictions - why should I feel sorry for her? If she was a poor person she would not have been offered the dozens of opportunities to clean up her act. A poor person gets busted with drugs or DUI their life is in shambles and most states offer is jail time and not help to clean up their problems. Our country's drug laws suck and Ms. Lohan is absolute proof that if you are the 1% those drug laws do not apply to you.

You want me to feel sorry for a girl who was lucky enough to be famous when she was a kid so she can have her lifetime pass of 'stay out of jail for any serious time' card? Sorry, I don't see that at all. I would have rathered Faux News found a non-celebrity 25 year old girl strugging with addiction - I would have had much more appreciation than that.

Lohan's jail times were real? Reduced for good celebrity behavior, but real just the same, and for the most ridiculous, easily avoidable reasons/excuses on her part. She forgot she had a court date...She was only getting ripped with a few friends while under house arrest...she's famous... (And I would bet money that her "silent donations" fulfilled a community service requirement ordered by the court, possibly in lieu of yet more jail time.) Sorry. She may be a democrat, but a good one? Far from it.

As a democrat, woman and human being, I am personally embarrassed that her name appears in the same sentence with George Clooney, who may not be a Roads Scholar but who is a good democrat with a well established reputation for his humanitarian work.

Edit to add: The ONLY thing I know about Lohan is what I've seen/heard from credible news programs.
