For any liberal or moderate thinking of sitting out the upcoming election, I have three words: The Supreme Court.

Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito and more often than not, Kennedy, are well down the road toward dismantling our Constitution. They have done far more damage than the tea bag lunatics in congress. And, given time, they’ll destroy what’s left of our democracy.

Is there any doubt that a “President Romney,” given the chance, would appoint another “guardian of white male supremacy and wealth?” (And if you think we’ll never see a “President Romney,” remember that the Republicans are masters at rigging close elections and their outcomes.)

President Obama, on the other hand, won’t appoint another crazy. He won’t get an outright liberal past senate Republicans, but he will appoint a left-leaning moderate who can be confirmed.

Supreme Court justices are appointed for life. Don’t even think of sitting out this election.
