Conrad Hilton arrested after fit on plane, accused flight crew of “taking the peasants’ side”

An enraged Hilton was restrained and handcuffed by flight attendants during a series of fits in which he accused the flight crew of “taking the peasants’ side,” according to an FBI affidavit included in a criminal complaint filed Monday.

Hilton told the co-pilot of the international flight: “If you wanna square up to me bro, then bring it on and I will … fight you,” according to the affidavit.

“We take disruptions on airplanes very seriously,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander Schwab said outside court.

During the nearly 11-hour flight, witnesses heard Conrad mumbling to himself, then yelling obscenities and threatening crew members, according to the affidavit.

Hilton — grandson of famed hotel billionaire Conrad Hilton Sr. — began punching the bulkhead of the plane close to an attendant’s face, according to the affidavit. Additionally, witnesses said Hilton was apparently smoking marijuana in one of the plane’s bathrooms, the affidavit states.

Admittedly, I've not known more than a few hundred smokers over the years, but none of them ever displayed or mentioned becoming paranoid as a result. I suppose if there are such, it could be a magnification of an existing character trait, and I just didn't hang around with people prone to violence. As well, the only time I saw anyone on a drug trip become paranoid was with a person on LSD, and while he was incredibly paranoid for around 12 hours, he was far from any sort of violence, but rather more fearful of indulging in self-hurt or being caught while on drugs.

Then, while he was sleeping, they restrained him.
