Rats Are Smarter Than Human Beings. Rats Are Certainly Smarter Than Republicans.
In the NLP book "From Frogs Into Princes" Richard Bandler who introduced Neuro Linguistic Programming to psychology along with John Grinder told a true story of an experiment that seemed to prove that rats were smarter than humans. He was talking about a maze experiment that a psychologist did to test how people and rats negotiate mazes. The experiment was about how rats and people would negotiate a given maze and how they would react to the rewards and extinguishing phase of the experiment.
He started with a maze for rats. He would put a reward at the end of the maze for the rat. The rats made it through the maze and got their reward just as expected. Then the psychologist did an extinguishing phase where he began to remove the reward to see how long the rats run the maze before they quit. The rats eventually figured it out and just quit running.
He then created a maze for human subjects. He put a $5 bill at the end of the maze and studied how humans ran the maze. He then embarked on the extinguishing phase of the experiment by removing the $5 bill. To his amazement the humans never quit running the maze. They ran the maze even after the time the rats had ceased to run their maze.
What was most astounding was that some of the human subjects even broke into the lab after it was closed to see if the $5 bill was at the end of the maze.
Based on the outcome of this experiment one might assume that the human subjects were Republicans, or conservatives.
