A woman delivering Domino’s Pizza was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and robbed by a 17-year-old boy who had placed the order, authorities said.

The attack happened after the 22-year-old woman arrived at a home on the 2800 block of Bluebell Circle about 11:20 a.m. Sunday to deliver pizza, police said.

She was getting out of her car when she was confronted at gunpoint by a teenage boy who forced her into her car, told to drive to a second location about a quarter-mile away and sexually assaulted her, authorities said.

He forced her to drive back to the first location, where he fled from the car on foot after taking some of her personal property, police said. The woman returned to the restaurant, and police were called.

Officers then arrested the suspect at the home where the order had been placed. The boy’s name was withheld because of his age. He was being held at Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall in Martinez.

I do hope she gets the help and healing she needs after this. I also hope he gets treatment and intensive follow-up in juvenile hall.

This shows yet another tax on working women - they have to consider whether taking a job will put them into situations like these. Always wondering whether the next customer will be Shrödinger's creep or rapist. Few men worry about being sexually assaulted as a pizza delivery guy, but women have to take that into consideration in pretty much every job, and with most co-workers, bosses and customers.
