General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsGame over, Warrenistas!
Your Massachusetts hero had a meeting with Our Next President. Can there be any explanation other than Warren swearing a blood oath to Team Hillary?
No! No other possible explanation! OK, some other explanations sound reasonable on their face, but for technical reasons that you Lumpenproletariat wouldn't understand, anyone who meets with Hillary must have sworn to support her. No, Hillary didn't do it to shut you Firebaggers up, that's a really hurtful thing to suggest.
Looks like even that difficult woman from Massachusetts realized that there is not a sliver of daylight between her own views and those of Hillary 6.0, and she didn't want to be Left Behind by the Hillary Zeppelin as it leaves its mooring mast at Lakehurst NJ. (Left Behind! See how I was able to slip in a Rapture reference to attract our friends in the Faith-Based Community? That's why they pay me the big bucks, of course.)
So now that Warren has secretly sworn loyalty The Next One, how about you moonbats doing the same? We totally promise to totally respect your opinions, and we'll fight for income equality and all the other crap that you people like.
Regards,
Third-Way Manny

HRC picks Warren for Veep solves quite a number of problems for HRC.
Placates the Left, (read : shut up and fall in line)
Not only silences Warren on the Senate floor, it removes her from any effective push back we have in the Senate apart from Bernie Sanders, who is also going to be a bit compromised by virtue of his presidential campaign. I know it doesn't mean that he must resign from the Senate, but it does have the muffling effect to some degree none the less just by the nature of political campaigns in this country.

(15,223 posts)Could is possibly be that Elizabeth Warren thinks the reasonable and best thing to do will be to actually HELP Hillary in her bid for the white house? Maybe Elizabeth understands that Hillary is simply the "next in line" with Hillary having paid her dues via more years in politics than Elizabeth has.
Could it be possible that Hillary thinks that having Elizabeth on her team might be the reasonable and best thing to do to actually HELP Hillary in her bid for the white house? Maybe Hillary understands that Elizabeth, though not quite as seasoned in politics as Hillary, still commands much respect and power, and having that on your team might actually be a good thing?
I want these women to work together in 2016. I believe they are both smart enough to understand that working together will be better for everyone. And I, personally, think THAT is what the meeting was about. If the two of them team up, it will be hard pressed for anyone to defeat them. Add Bernie is some form, and you have a trifecta IMHO.
