The selection of GWB by the USSC? The takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban? The return of Khomeini? The installation of Pinochet in Chile?

The rise of the Third Reich? The Civil War? The American Revolution? The Spanish Inquistion?

Sure I've missed a few dozen. Plenty of eras in history filled with oppression and death. Great solutions, hauntingly similar..

Yet they control all media... they have declared themselves the default religion for the masses.. people run from them.. yet they prevail.

They control what we do in our own bedrooms, they control our school boards, they run the banks and they control who gets a loan and who doesn't.

They control our borders, they control our prisons, they send our young off to die in useless wars for oil.. and they charge us $4 a gallon for gasoline while we drive 30 miles to work a job that pays $7 an hour.. (and most are glad to get it.)

Each day the Conservatives pass more laws that make it difficult to speak out (NDAA)... and the Dems go along?

I don't get it.. wish I did...

They probably demoted or fired the person that allowed that to be printed.
They don't even allow comments anymore on their on-line version.
Too many people commenting on the slant and spin of their news stories.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

That's not going to ensure an economic recovery by giving tax breaks to the wealthy - tax the shit out of them. And reduce our health care costs - *THAT* will ensure an economic recovery.

I also believe they know that their policies deliver very, very, VERY well to the 1%.

It's what's been happening since the mid to late 70's in this country.

GOP governors are fine with both of these outcomes since they personally benefit handsomely.

So, I might argue against labeling them insane for the reason you state while still agreeing with you
that they are indeed psychopaths and sociopaths which puts them in the same group as the insane
as far as I'm concerned.

Look at it from the sociopaths perspective. If they give tax breaks to the wealthy while cutting benefits to the
masses like they are currently proposing, the deficit will skyrocket and they can repeat the process repeatedly
in the near future, using the same talking points, until they have created the feudal society that they clearly believe should exist.

They are going to keep taking us down this path unless we can wake up more of this country, get them informed
to fight for their own economic self interest, and get them motivated to help us MAKE elected Democrats implement the
platform they supposedly represent.

At this point, electing Democrats is only the very beginning step to seeing change come to this country. We're going to
have to work hard for it.
