Rep. Barry Loudermilk Boasts About Refusing To Vaccinate His Kids
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Wednesday, 2/25/2015 5:20 pm
At a town hall meeting in his district in Georgia last week, Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk claimed that he and his wife decided against vaccinating their very healthy children and said that he is against requiring children to receive vaccinations.
I believe its a parents decision whether they immunize or not, he said in remarks first noted by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. We didnt immunize and theyre very healthy, of course, in homeschooling we didnt have to get the mandatory immunizations.
Loudermilk also said that as chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight in the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, he would consider holding hearings on a questioners allegation that the CDC falsified data on the safety of vaccines.
