Midwesterners might want to go to Anchorage, Juneau or Fairbanks. It is warmer there right now. Second polar vortex in two years.

edit: For those of you "Outside", as they say up there , inland Fairbanks is much colder than coastal Anchorage and Juneau.

4. I Have Been Following Alaska Temps.

Fairbanks is cold but not as cold as central US right now. Though it can be 30 below there. Highs around 20 low below 10. One would expect well below zero.

5. I Know. I Have Been To Juneau. They Benefit From The Ocean.

Even though Juneau is not directly on the ocean. The Inland Passage stays more moderate even in winter. Anchorage has a similar effect being on the coast.
