Just asking.
While I listened today to news on more attacks upon people who work to protect the Planet and the Environment, Laws and species,it is apparent to me that those who care about the future and the present crisis on this Planet are loosing the battle. Small strides may be made but my overall observation is that the attackers are far more aggressive. I mean....what might be the possible "equal" reaction or action to effectively counter those who murder the whole Planet and all of it's species? Do you think there is one?
So am just asking what you think out there.

(Although, since they suspect this is coming -- hence the laws loosening rules for detention, spying, evidence-gathering, etc. -- perhaps all that's really left is to stop buying shit whenever, wherever, and however possible...)

(15,189 posts)There should be more video games that promote environmental themes, with added facts about species that are endangered, and the environment. Then they could have the more mature games that hunt down poachers, and set traps for them before they kill the poor animals they poach. Make poachers the new bad guy around the world. Get more young people involved. And go after big oil, and fracking.

(13,685 posts)It is called Global Warming and the resultant climate change which will make it hard for humans to live the way they are. The poor humans will not see much difference but the rich are in for a whollotta changes.

(14,807 posts)What I am asking is is what sort of reaction will it take to counter the aggression on the other side?
I cannot any longer wrap my head around the fact that people are murdering and yet it is almost like there is no reaction in response to that that seems adequate or "equal" at the moment to me.

(5,178 posts)and try to spread the word that some people out there actually envision a world with trees and wildlife instead of Wal-Marts and parking lots. Mind you we are few, as we have always been, but I believe deep down everyone wants better for their children and I remain confident peaceful action is the only recourse and will result in massive change. Whether that comes before its too late for many of the critters or even ourselves remains to be seen. I believe my President when he says he is serious about battling climate change and protecting our limited resources.
