that the Dems would help Boehner out and give him some cover to pass this 3 week extension to funding DHS? Was it a fake out to Boehner to make him look bad? Basically make it look like the vote would pass with their (the Dems) help and then hold the House Dems back for voting for it.

like the Dems would supply the votes if Boehner came up short. Schumer telelgraphed a similar comment on the floor of the Senate that made it sound like the Dems could live with the 3 week extension.

I think Boehner isn't that smart and he fell for this and they pulled the rug out from under him.
