I have some useful information for her.
If she ever needs to keep track of one email account seperately from another, say, if one is for private personal email and the other is for public correspondance with foreign leaders that might determine the very lives and deaths of billions of people, this can be easily accomplashed through using different email accounts for the two purposes.
One could be something like hillary@whatever.com, the other like secstate@whatever.com
This means that your staff wouldn't have to read tens of thousands of emails after the fact, to make sure that only the ones that other people should see are released. You could just release all of the emails in one of the accounts.
To be fair, the technology behind "having different email addresses for different purposes" was not widely available until 2014. But it might come in handy for Hillary in the future, so it would be good if someone could get her this information.
No thanks needed, but maybe she could ask Lloyd if there's any openings in his IT group?

(16,286 posts)In my family there is so much pain and suffering and worry, borderline homelessness, not me personally but more than half of my immediate family.
There is a limit to how much I or my wife and I can help, then my health and finances are at risk.
Americans need to do something DRASTIC, these rich people, whether it is Hillary or powerful people like Bernie, etc., none of that shit matters if most of us are on the edge, and I know I am.

(45,120 posts)Nothing will get done. This will give them cover to do nothing. The republicans and the media will not treat Hillary the same as they did Jebby. One day and done is not going to be the case here. The pukes are already calling for hearings.
She might be the last thing we think about, but this plays right into their hands.

Is that right?

(45,120 posts)I'm sure you remember the hatred and vitriol from the Clinton years that the pukes had for Hillary? They will not pass this up. With her being the front runner for 2016 they are going to hang on to this till they get anything and everything they can find or anything they can to make her look bad on this.

(3,732 posts)I don't want to understate the importance of this because the laws came into play because of the importance of keeping government records and especially tracing "personal relationships" in politics.
Yahoo would be an especially bad place to put any official business since they have been especially evil about reclaiming accounts every 3 months if you don't log into them. Older records will be lost for good.
If Hillary was trying to communicate with Chelsea on Yahoo in one hand (likely since that's one of the oldest webmail services - I still communicate with my Mom via my Yahoo account that I set up in grad school) and government staff on the other, she probably tried to make things more convenient by getting them all to forward to one email (perhaps the Yahoo one, since it was the oldest). But then things got confused with all the zinging emails with different "reply to" addresses, and it got tempting just to reply from the Yahoo address.
In a different thread a State Dept. employee wrote about how slow and clunky State Dept. email is - I totally buy that from what I've seen of State of California systems. But the solution would have been to use some of her power to demand improvement in those systems.
