6. CNN had this earlier

It was a section about 4 things to know before the open of the markets.

Economists surveyed by CNNMoney predict that 235,000 jobs were created in February, down from 257,000 the month before. They are expecting the unemployment rate to edge down to 5.6% from 5.7% in January.

Looks like there economists missed by 60,000 jobs, and its was up 38,000 from January. As someone staged this is pretty good for a short month like February, the unemployment rate is dropping. I know there will be those saying, again, that they are low paying jobs, but if people want to see a change in the minimum wage in their state, they need to start working on getting things passed in their state to put this issue on the ballots. Once the people have a chance to vote on raising the minimum wage it will obvious the majority of voters want increases. Some companies are already raising wages, maybe not nearly enough, but I think they are getting the message that if they don't pay their employes enough, who will be buying their products. We have a long way to go, but working on raising the minimum wage on a national lever is not going to happen as long as republicans control congress. It has to be done at state levels.

Employers will be forced to pay higher wages. There won't be enough workers to go around and workers will be at a premium.

All those Right To Work laws would be of zero use when employers can't hire to take advantage of the soaring demand.

Thank GOD for the GOP.......they did it, they did it all...... when the 2014 elections swung to the right, jobs started being created, and here is where GOD happens......these jobs and the months before the election were because people were dreaming of a GOD/GOP take over....now its a true miracle.....so we need to forget all that happened before 2008, and just know that all the time the GOP was " saying no to jobs, no to unemployment assistance, no to infrastructure spending, no to tax cuts for the middle class, no to ACA, no to women health issues, yes to rape, yes to tax cuts for the wealthy, yes to the Koch Brothers", it was because they knew it was about all the jobs Mitch McConnell will take credit for now.... I can now sleep at night......ahhhh to dream......

This sarcatic rant brought to you by someone who is totally hateful of the backstabbing right wing of this country.....they will take credit for everything good, nothing bad....bastards

The dow jones was stuck at 7000 until they won, then BAM 18000 over night. The economy gained several million jobs on Nov 5th and it's all thanks to the possibilities of Republican leadership and what the future will bring with them at the reins. The prospects for the future are all bright and shiny! I, for one, am glad that the age of squalor and CRUSHING government regulations are over. Republicans will put an end to Obama's direct job killing agenda. I mean, Obama was using executive orders to force companies to fire people. I cannot wait until Republicans repeal job destroying acts such as the ACA, Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, Food Stamps, and all of those other programs that do nothing but destroy jobs on a daily basis.

It is truly morning on a new era in America!

23. Look at Full Time jobs
Fri Mar 6, 2015, 01:06 PM

My go-to job statistic is from the Household Survey (the same data set the Unemployment Rate comes from, so the source is unimpeachable)

Employed-Usually Work Full Time
(If you want to see the data go to the St Louis Fed's FRED site and look for data set LNS12500000)

When talking about jobs as a measure of economic health we really should be looking at Full Time jobs. Those are the kind of jobs someone has a chance of building a life around.

The most recent report shows Full Time jobs grew by 123,000 in Feb. To a level of 120,834,000.

That is still over One Million jobs SHORT of the peak we reached in Nov 2007...over Seven YEARS ago.

Thats right. Nov 2007 there were 121,875,000 emloyed full time. Feb 2015 120,834,000.

Want to know why meduan income is down? Look no further.
