The way the game and system are rigged today (and really for the last 35+ years) is sickening and only getting worse by the day, but fear not, our corporate lapdog wing of the party will be by soon to berate anyone who cares or notices and slap them back in line with the third way mantra...

I debated whether to mention that Baltic is the bottom of the barrel, not Atlantic.

Even with that nit picked, it is the simple truth.

A liberal and a tea party member are sitting in front of a plate of 100 cookies. All of a sudden, a rich person comes in, and scoops 99 of the cookies into a bag. He slings the bag over his shoulder and as he is walking out of the room, he whispers in the ear of the tea partier...

"If I were you, I'd watch out for the liberal. He's going to steal your cookie."

The great depression was caused by greedy and slave type mentality. No viable salary nor healthcare. No money to spend, the dollar loses it strength which loses its value worldwide. It almost happened in 2009 but alas a man name Pres O kept us of a full blown depression.

Most of the Red States (run by GOPs) economy is going downward to bankruptcy, i.e. KS, WI, FL, Michigan, et al.

But too lazy to figure it out. Numbers are too big.

Is American top quarter's share of wealth really equal to all properties except Atlantic Avenue? Is their share really 95% of Monopoly money?

The rhetorical point of the poster is right. I just wonder about the math.

All praise to anybody who figures it out.

Total amount of Monopoly money is $15,140. If the top 25% own 95% of the money, they would have $14,383, and the other 75% would have $757.

Total amount of Monopoly property is $5,690, Atlantic Ave is $260. So the top 25% own $5,430 in property and the other 75% own $260.

That's as far as I can get right now.

$252.33 in money and $86.66 in property. Since Monopoly does not have change, the three would be told to fight amongst themselves over the scraps, distracting them from the real motherfucker.

Thus helping said motherfucker to win even more and faster.

Shit. This is too realistic.

One person has everything, everyone else is handicapped, yet we call it 'equality of opportunity'.

We're expected to fight each other for everything, including minimum wage jobs and basic security, yet highlighting that fact is what the media and politicians call 'class warfare'.
