The Southern African branch of the Salvation Army has tweeted an image of a potent new ad that repurposed the mind-boggling viral content to make something that is likely to seem a little more meaningful.

:large
“The only illusion is if you think it was her choice,” the ad notes. “One in 6 women are victims of abuse. Stop abuse against women.”

Despite some problems that I - and others here - have had with the SA. they deserve kudos for this ad in South Africa

on edit:

Hours after the ad began garnering attention, the Salvation Army in Canada tweeted out the same image produced by the Southern Africa territory.

I will confess it took me a second look to see the black and blue, but once I did I couldn't see the white and gold.

I'm so old that I still call this a "number sign"

I'm still miffed that when voice mail technology got ahold of it it was all of a sudden a "pound sign,"

I always thought that "lbs" indicated pounds

Now this # is a hash tag ????

I alway thought hash was corn beef and potatoes.

I'm so ken'fyoozed
