When Repubs talk about "State-sponsored terrorism" vis-a-vis ...

Iran, are they not talking about a country? When the Second Amendment talks about the "security of a free state" are they talking about one state, or are they referencing the country? Is Secretary of State John Kerry a diplomat representing his home state of Massachusetts, or does he represent the country?
If you answered any of the above questions the same way that I did, then you join me in wondering how the words an exchange established "by the state" could possibly be misapplied by any honest jurist in order to overturn the ACA.
I am hopefully optimistic that Obamacare will be upheld by the SCOTUS, but make no mistake about it … this was the point in history where Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas said "FUCK IT, the Supreme Court has nothing to do with jurisprudence and everything to do with partisan politics!"

The term "the state" has been used since Plato's time to mean the government, the sovereignty. I think if ACA meant stateS that's what it would have said!

the dumbing down of Murika. Apparently the actuaries who do the physical "writing" of Bills and public policy documents should be able to not only spell correctly but be able to, through proper grammar, impart the true meaning of each statement made, apparently this is not a major qualifier for the job.

Agreed. I live in scarletville and it's really annoying to see how badly they blow it on all counts when it comes to spelling, grammar and appropriate speech. And they don't get punctuation at all. Having been a proofreader years ago, I find I have to stop myself from correcting people wen they can't get the language to function for them... unless they ask me to which I do willingly so they can learn.

Then, as you suggest, there are those who are proud of their ignorance by choice. I think they believe they can't be held accountable for actions and statements if they sound like they're talking via their anal sphincters.
