For me - I did not expect McCain among the signers as I thought he would have some respect for the office he ran for.

Among abstainers - surprised by everyone except Susan Collins. Why did they not jump into the clown car?

Or did the republicans who went to the January 'secret meeting in Israel' not sign the republicans letter to Iran? and why?

Todays American media may be to afraid to ask.

Once republicans goad Iran or Israel into an attack (imo that is what republicans & their minions want) it will be to late for 'questions'. war profiteers are screaming for profits.

although it probably shouldn't, is that Ohio Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski weren't on the same page. I'm not shocked that Lisa didn't sign this because she often goes against leadership, but Dan being a military man and a newbie is probably going along to get along. I knew we'd regret electing him. He's a Koch-puppet and actually brought Ted Cruz and Mitt Romney up here to campaign for him last year. Gag...

seditious group.

He can't wait for a War with Iran. Nor can he wait for a War with Russia.

I'm not surprised by any of the signers.

I am surprised that ANY of them did not sign, but glad to see there were a few.

Kirk is actually a pretty moderate Republican who's going to face a tough re-election in a Blue state; stunts like this will do him no favors, especially if he's squaring off against a legit war hero like Tammy Duckworth.

Coats and Cochran, on the other hand, have always struck me as run-of-the-mill neanderthals from deep Red states; not sure how they woke up with common sense that day, but I doubt it'll last.

Both he and Ayotte are going to be primaried from the hard right; I suspect they voted in anticipation of that.

Obviously I disagree with him politically on almost every issue, but he is more old school and seems to believe in negotiating and compromising with the other side. He has previously expressed his distaste for partisan games on the part of the GOP and actually refused a high ranking position, saying he wanted to be free to work with Democrats to get things done.

I didn't know what to expect from Bob Corker as he's a bit more new school, but I am pleased that he did not sign either. Considering the many INSANE activities of the hard right TN state legislature, it's nice to know that on at least on one issue of international importance, my state's U.S. Senators made the obviously sensible choice.
