I work for an organization, where many unsavory things have and still are taking place. i have refused to part of any of these shenanigans, as a result, have got retaliatory action against me in the form of negative annual performance review (which I have never got before in my professional life). Now, having been around the corporate block long enough, I know that is often done, to 'help' an employee leave a company..
I'm not too worried about finding a new job, as I have tangible, specialized skills - but would you summarily just walk out the door and move on, knowing the things that have taken place? Or would you, take the chance of being possibly 'blackballed' in your profession, and bring to light things that have been taken place?

I know someone that went to the IRS with such extensive documented information on their employer's evading quite a large sum in taxes and it went nowhere, the IRS couldn't possibly have been less interested, this was during the Clinton administration.
However the whistleblower did get audited several times in the next few years when they never had that happen before.
Your chances of success in whistleblowing are pretty low and your chances of screwing up your own life to a greater or lesser extent are substantial.

(25,485 posts)2. I have very detailed documentation
and this organization as it's tentacles into bidding on contracts..it would seriously affect their bottom line

Then get the next job and get out of the old one.
Good luck.
