like climate change and universal health care and economic equality for all, including Arab youth, the two year old nuclear disposal agreements with the former Eastern Bloc...I could go on...are also all peace issues.

And I by no mean want to say this is the first good thing he has done.
I also don't want to say he is wrong in fighting ISIS or pushing back against Russia.
But he is not shy to act militarily and he was given the Prize in hopes of ending the Afghan War and doing things like closing Gitmo.
In my opinion the Prize was given for what they hope he would do, not what he did up to that point.

I just wish I hadn't bought what he said in the Primaries. I had a way too high bar for him.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Seriously? The used car salesman bullshit again. This shit is so inappropriate for this forum. Can we please restore some community standards to this place.

JURY RESULTS

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Apr 2, 2015, 06:17 PM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Agree with alerter
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: You mad?
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Meh
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: On first glance I didn't see anything wrong with this post, though the alerters comments gave me reason to do a quick search on how this term is applied to Barrack.

Apparently, used car salesman is a RW-Teapublican favored label for him, a label that is pushed by the infamous Tea Partier Allen West.

At first glance I was planning to vote a hide for since I'd noticed that this person unnecessarily spammed replies into this topic, chaining off of his own posts instead of editing his first post as he should have, but I think that this posters pushing of RW Tea Partier talking points is a much more valid reason to do so.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Bizarre? Why would one insult themselves in a response.... Leave.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Haters gonna bate but I'm sick to death of them.

*Clarification on my explanation - I didn't see anything wrong with the post at first glance, apparently I was lucky enough to not have encountered this specific label until today, but my original intent was to hide for the post being a unnecessary spamming of the topic. I rushed through writing this out, so I could have worded my explanation better to reflect this.

(No good deed goes unpunished in the GOP Congress ... or at DU, it seems) However, I am old enough to remember every hard-fought treaty with the USSR. I am rejoicing.

This is for McCain, Cotton, and the rest of the Senate 47

Plus peace, health care, etc.

That's a lot to get just to get behind the curtain and vote. We got a bargain.
