One of my first jobs was in a theater, and this was one of our features. (Valley of the Dolls was another....shudder!)
Sometimes, I still find myself erupting with lines from it. "Hallelujah, Brothers! I come to comfort the sick and heal the sinner...", or a boozy rendition of "Happy birthday" at an inappropriate moment.
These are useful things to know.
