‘Family Values’ Lunatic Todd Kincannon Arrested Just For Showing Wife Who’s Boss

At Least He Never Made Anyone Bake A Gay Cake

‘Family Values’ Lunatic Todd Kincannon Arrested Just For Showing Wife Who’s Boss

image:
We assume he just dresses like that anyway, because in Obama's America, no one is free

Now there’s a mugshot that ought to gladden the hearts of many. Rightwing bile duct and former chairman of the South Carolina GOP Todd Kincannon was arrested Monday evening and is facing a charge of criminal domestic violence charge in court Tuesday. His arrest follows a March 26 incident in which Kincannon’s wife, Ashely Griffith, said that he had threatened to kill her, her family, and himself during a terror-filled drive home from a work event; she also told a Lexington County, South Carolina, sheriff’s deputy that they had a “history of unreported domestic violence” and that she feared Kincannon.

After news of the incident broke, Kincannon swore up and down that he was simply having a bad reaction to some prescription medication that had caused him to hallucinate, which didn’t quite explain why Griffith seems to have hallucinated that history of abuse, or the recordings of previous threats of suicide and murder that she told the deputy she’d made. Lesson: the Party of Personal Responsibility really needs to stay away from drugs, which turn loving family men into monsters.

Still, it’s awfully difficult to understand how such a nice man could come to such a pass. After leaving his chairmanship of the SC GOP, Kincannon had a fun career as a rightwing pundit, and his Twitter account was not entirely dissimilar to a pipe spewing raw sewage. Kincannon predicted that if Trayvon Martin had lived, he’d have sucked on penises for drug money, so it was just as well he’d been eliminated. In a Twitter disagreement with an Iraq veteran, Kincannon wished the vet had “come home in a body bag,” because the vet had said that stop-and-frisk was a bad policy — a huge insult to brave police everywhere. And last summer, Kincannon came up with an innovative approach to fighting Ebola: Instead of treating the disease’s victims, just euthanize them and then obliterate their villages with napalm. Presumably this plan should have extended to cities as well, but since the wimps at the CDC never hired him as a consultant, we don’t know the full details of his public health plan.

In addition to being a Twitter Tough Guy, Kincannon also liked to share penis selfies on the interwebs, which we’re sure he probably stopped doing after marrying Griffith. We wish Ms. Griffith well and hope she finds an excellent lawyer. We encourage her to put as much distance between herself and South Carolina as possible. And hey, ladies, looks like Todd Kincannon’s going to be back on the market at some point. Just look on Craigslist for the penis pics of a guy in an orange jumpsuit.

in the South means a man has the God-ordained RIGHT to beat the fuck out of his wife and kids.

That poor man. Arrested for trying to correct a wayward woman!

I'll pray for him.

Really rough for a family values person when the reality of his behavior gives the lie to his pious preaching and moralizing.

He probably has a future as a preacher once he confesses his sins and is forgiven.

And even more I hope his family gets away and gets help before this escalates further. Both the wife and kids should get counseling help to to make sure this cycle ends.

And he should get help as well because if this is true he's a ticking bomb.

Think this guy might drink a little too much? Just saying..Thats all I’m doing..

Put some booze into a angry hateful mean guy and all kind of shit can happen..

But whats most important is how ignorant all these new breeds of Repubs. This guy probably has no idea where Yemen or Iraq is.. I feel they are lazy people, who are bigoted / hateful and our country has found a way to employ them through the Republican/Baggers employ..

Kincannon has also had a few run-ins with the law in his hometown of Simpsonville in recent years, although none have led to his arrest.

Just before midnight on April 13, 2013, according to one incident report, an officer with the Simpsonville Police Department responded to a call from Kincannon's father, who said he wished to report an incident but did not want to press charges. The father (whose name has been redacted from the report) said that he had been woken up at 11:55 p.m. by his dogs barking because Kincannon was banging on the front door. Kincannon reportedly said that he had spilled Coca-Cola on his hands and needed to wash them. When the father followed him into the kitchen, Kincannon allegedly pulled a out a revolver, pointed it at his father, and screamed, "Get back, motherfucker, or I'll kill you."

The father said that he tried to retreat, but his son pushed him against the front door twice and said, "Now I'm going to kill you, motherfucker." The father ran shoeless to another house and said that "he could see the red laser sight from Todd's handgun bouncing around as he was running," according to the report.

Speaking to police, Kincannon's father said he and his wife had given Kincannon "large amounts of money in the recent past (including $35,000) to help Todd pay off student loans and to help him catch up on payments to the rental house" and that tension had arisen recently over inheritance issues after a family member passed away. An officer wrote at the time, "He advised that he's seen the weapon plenty of times in the past, especially when Todd put his own gun to his head and threatened to kill himself." Kincannon's father also said there was "a lengthy history of Todd verbally and physically abusing he and his wife."

A week later, on April 20, 2013, Kincannon's father called police again to say that he feared Kincannon would show up at his house with a firearm. He said that Kincannon had prepared his grandfather's will and that Kincannon "believes he should have all of it." The report also stated that Kincannon's father "said he had recordings of threats being made to him but he could not let us listen to them at this time." The father called again later in the day to report that he had received threatening text messages from his son.

28. Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to Suffering
Wed Apr 8, 2015, 02:13 PM
Apr 2015

The only good bit of dialogue Lucas penned for the Star Wars prequel triology....but I digress.

The GOP clearly has moved from fear to anger to hate in the Obama presidency, but they can't stop themselves from the final blowback of all of this - suffering. They have thought for a very long time that they could keep the roiling boil of anger in the Tea Party extremists under control, but they can't and the truth of that has been plain to see in the Congress under Boehner, the Senate with rabble-rousers like Cotton and Cruz and at all levels of state and local governments.

They decided in 2008, when McCain was going down in flames, that scorched Earth obstruction and stoking hate was going to be their plan. They attracted Emmy-award "winner" like Kincannon by the bushel basket and now they are beginning to see the end game for getting in bed with such manner of thugs and reprobates.

I am only sorry for his wife and family to have had to suffer for his hatred.

Maybe soon he will be more sensitive to saying some of the bile he has spewed in the past. Hope he gets convicted and general population sentence.
