Good one

My wife and I have accounting degrees - we almost always wait until the last minute and, yes, we still do them by hand.

But for the last several years I have been using the "Free File Fillable Forms" - a link to this is on the IRS home page. It lets you fill out the forms on your computer AND does the math and print copies and file electronically. Love it. Just as much control as doing it by hand and much more convenient.

If you have a printer attached to your computer, go to the IRS' website and download all the form files you need. The IRS downloadable forms are "fillable PDF" - you can type information into the blanks, save the files, print them out...REALLY nice. You still have to do the math yourself and mail in the prints, but the e-forms are great. Much better than paper.
