http://www.theroot.com/articles/news/2015/04/mich_middle_school_student_target_racist_bullying_by_classmates.htmlA Michigan middle school student wont be returning to school Monday because he was the target of repeated bullying and racial harassment at his suburban school, WDIV reports.
Phoenix Williams, a 13-year-old at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, has come forward with his story after capturing students racist taunts on his cellphone. The video shows his bullies repeatedly calling him the n-word and encouraging other students to follow suit.
Phoenix told news station WDIV that one student actually leaned over and told another classmate, Ill give you a piece of candy if you call Phoenix a dirty n--ger. One student snatched his hat off his head and threw it to the back of the bus before telling him to go get it, repeating the slur.
I was very, very upset, confused and just troubled, Phoenix told the news station. I just felt alone, like no one was going to help me.

Gosh, I love our post-racial society!

that being wealthy doesn't protect you from racism. (Very wealthy suburb.)

That poor kid. The kids who tortured him should be punished, as well as the parents who allow this stuff. If they pay a fine too, you can bet they're be less name calling. It won't be easier for Phoenix, but other black kids may have it easier and that could console him.
If you hear this stuff at home, it finds its way into everywhere the kids go......
I just wish it wasn't Michigan.
