Her website is virtually content free when it comes to policy. Nor has she laid out any specifics. I despise Christie and Rubio and Cruz, but they are being specific- horrifying as those specifics are.
These are some the questions I want her to answer:
What specific policies do you propose to deal with income inequality?
What policies do you propose for dealing with regulation re financial institutions?
Do you support raising the income cap on social security? At what income? Do you support expanding SS benefits- as the vast majority of the public does?
What plans do you have to make college more affordable?
Many corporations not only pay no federal taxes, they get hundreds of millions in rebates? What solutions do you propose?
Why do you think the the TPP and TTIP would benefit working Americans?
Do you have any concerns about fracking?
How would you approach wage stagnation and job creation? Public investment? Infrastructure spending?
Vague platitudes about being a champion for the middle class and how the playing field is uneven aren't a vision. And yes, she's had plenty of time to formulate specifics.

(14,195 posts)No one should die for a burned out tail light or selling cigarettes or any other misdemeanor. Police should ONLY use their weapons as a last resort, and only when stopping a violent crime. Police should be held accountable (really) when they kill an unarmed civilian.

(22,308 posts)I am really curious about how many years of tax returns she will release. I'm sure a big part of it is just because tax day is now upon us, but I am curious.
The GOP's recent habit of only releasing 2 years worth of returns (when you can amend returns going back 2 years) is something I hope she does not adopt. If she does it is going to cement her image as secretive and playing by her own rules.
I will vote for her if she wins the nomination, but I am not crazy about her being the nominee. If her campaign cements that "2 year rule" into place by adopting it I will have a real problem with her being our nominee. If she does it then we will not see any real financials from any Presidential nominee for decades, maybe ever. The long term damage done will far outweigh any short term gain.
I sure hope she lives up to expectations on this one. Her supporters can go ahead and bookmark this post if you want. Feel free to throw this post back at me if she does not disappoint us all on this front. This is one time I would be very happy to be way off base (but I am afraid I may not be).

And, are you sorry you lied about being "dead broke" and about being shot at by snipers in Bosnia?

(114,904 posts)As for question 2: Never have and never will.
You'd do better by asking questions of the leading candidate. I'm not running for President.

(2,506 posts)Will you in general push to reverse the shift in taxes from the wealthy and the corps onto middle and lower income people and use proceds to restore infrastructure and social fabric?

(14,733 posts)I would love to see all potential candidates asked that list, and tied down to their specific beliefs. We need to be informed voters, and you can't be informed if the candidates simply avoid telling us before the election exactly what they believe and hide behind platitudes and soundbites.

(80,708 posts)More are likely to follow in 2016. This is an important, pressing issue. Countless states have legalized medical marijuana.
How is the DOJ under your executive leadership going to approach this?
Will you use your executive power to reschedule cannabis, a long overdue and scientifically sound move?
And isn't it time to fix federal law once and for all, if not working to legalize it entirely at the federal level then at least to leave states alone to determine their own policy?
