Italian police: Muslim migrants throw Christians into sea

Muslims who were among migrants trying to get from Libya to Italy in a boat this week threw 12 fellow passengers overboard -- killing them -- because the 12 were Christians, Italian police said Thursday.

Italian authorities have arrested 15 people on suspicion of murdering the Christians at sea, police in Palermo, Sicily, said.

toward people who were literally in the same boat. They are apparently looking for a place to show them and their families compassion, yet they only display hatred toward their fellow passengers.

Other people on the voyage told police that they themselves were spared "because they strongly opposed the drowning attempt and formed a human chain," Palermo police said.

We have a case of 15 murdering assholes among a group of 105, and the actions of the remainder saving lives.

But evidently that is going to remain studiously unnoticed by some people ;shrug:

9. You seem to act like 15 out of 105 is a small percentage.

It is quite large. Furthermore, it takes a special kind of nutjob to seek assylum and kill others who are also fleeing while you do it because of religious differences. I hope the italians put them back on the boat and send them to Syria.

But it doesn't say that they saved other people's lives. It says that they saved their own lives -- "they themselves were spared" -- because the remaining Christians formed a human chain.

Personally, I've learned to wait for the details with these sorts of stories.
