Populist group/party

so, i did some listening, some learning, and spoke out a bit about the populace party. really. i had not been paying attention.

i was an obama supporter in '08. i do not know who i am going to support in '16. waiting waiting waiting to see who runs. but, i look forward to it. i enjoy when the dems do primary. they are so civil. they are smart. i like listening to them. i like hearing them put the democratic issue forefront, for all of us to be able to have an adult conversation about, out loud.

it just works for me.

and i hope our democratic politicians spend the time to touch with their base, after so long in washington. and maybe they are doing some listening, and learning.

as i have heard many on du state. the populace group/party is very much a part of the whole of our democratic party. the reason i went obama instead of clinton in '08 i thought going after bushco/nsa/ criminality, and wallstreet and corporate greed should be the first step in his presidency.

i knew we had little chance on some of that, listening to him campaign. but i thought i might get more from obama than clinton. otherwise i am fine with both of them.

we each have our roles we are strong in, with our democratic party.

i have other areas. now, a couple months or so ago, i was told the beginnings of my view of the populace. while involved in my issue, ... women/children issues, ... i was hearing social warrior. and i was being told that social warrior takes back seat to the populace. i was (women) being dismissed and told my issues are not the ones that matter.

regardless of what some think, i dont do the drama (politics) of it all. i had some catching up to do when clinton declared. i did that over the last couple days and i better understand the issue with populace, and how it effects us as a whole. cool enough. as my statement clearly says, my priority in all this was the crimes, bush war, wallstreet and corporations.

i wanted a strong anti monopoly.

CLEARLY i am on board with populace. i do worry my beautiful mind over it. i am not a sheep. a blind anything. i am well informed, and have come to my conclusions. you want to respectfully talk about it, i am on board, cause i bet we agree.

i also think the strong majority are right there with me whether they support clinton, obama or warren.

it is vital we deal with what the populace is focused on.

i am not getting into battle over this. i fight for this TOO. daily. in my every day, real life and everywhere else. we are business owner. we are sending two boys to college and beyond.

please, do not make me the enemy. it is insulting.

the past, for me, is information. it is done. it is the past. be informed and you can better walk forward. this is where we are now. look at the issues, come up with a plan. so much of this is pretty simple, our politicians just need to be brave enough, or willing enough to do the simple. same with the issue of populace here on du.

1. I got to sit down and chat one on one with Governor Granholm a couple years ago.

We were both presenting at an event, she was lunch keynote and then there was a lightly attended mixer.

She was sweet enough to let me take a groupie with her on my phone.

She is vibrant and engaging and stunningly beautiful.

I like her policies and her presence and her passion for Americans and American jobs.

i just listened to it again as i was putting the post together. chills. i am excited for more of that.

that is a blast. in the next handful of years, i am gonna get in that. kids are about gone. i get to play.....

4. Ms. Granholm hasn't been perfect with everything when she was Michigan's governor...

... but she certainly is miles ahead of who they currently have who's really screwing up that state now.

And she did give some great speeches at our last convention.

I would just LOVE her throwing her hat in the race for 2016, or at least making a gesture to try to do so, so that if you get Republicans claiming "She's CANADIAN! She can't run!" then we throw back them that they should ask Ted Cruz to withdraw from the race for the same reasons!

5. no one. is our perfect nor even perfect. we will never get that. i do not attain for perfection.

i knew a woman once, who was perfect. eeeew.

6. about the populist group

Layign my cards on the table: I would gladly trade Clinton for Warren, but I know that is not possible at this stage.

However, I do want to see a popluist group because, regardless of media corraling, which is what most elections are, we need to have a group that puts consistent pressure on EVERYONE to at least LEAN leftward. Call it the left wing tea party if you want, but it worked well for them.

In Florida, Jeb picked Bill MCcolum as his seat warmer in Tallahassee, alogn came the Tea Party with their champions , Marco Rubio and Rick Scott. They won, leaving Jeb to fumble about. Now, this can very likely happen again.

My question is, why are we not buildign a coalition that can do the same? Answer, we are, it is just that it took the Clintons and Obamas talkign left and looking right to realize we need to help them "evolve" positions. That is not hate, that is leading them our way, and then letting them think it was their idea all along when the roses are thrown and the champagne is popped. Let them have the roses and champgne, as long as the right-wing skew that has been in place since Ronnie Ray gun is fixed.

that is what the teabaggers are. in my mind and always. i would prefer we did not see the populist ast the left.... teabaggers. really. i would think populace would not want that identity. and look at the destruction to the repug party. that is the point i fight.

i am just saying.

now... i will continue reading. i say in respect, as you know, but others may not. you and i about always, bottom line, agree.

8. i am challenging that the populist are not building a coalition when they create me... ME

the enemy. and that is exactly what is being done. i am not even a clinton supporter.

9. My biggest issue with populism is this....

And this is from my own personal experience. YMMV.

Populists tend to talk a good game, but once you cut past the facade of what they say as opposed to what they actually believe, I've come to conclude they want others to give up what they have, but they either want their lives to remain nice and coushy just the way it is, or by others sacrificing they hope their place in life will improve.

that exact thing. that is when i say no... and i am not a part of this.
