Every 7 years - Financial melt down

The last one, we bailed Wall Street out.

It nearly killed the middle class.

What is going to happen this time, I wonder, because we are DUE.

I'm not being a chicken little, just someone that has observed history, so here it comes again.

1. Every 7 days - a post which has little to no context.

The last one, we debated something.

It nearly made a few people quit DU, a couple got banned.

What is going to happen this time, I wonder, because we are due.

I'm not being a chicken little, just someone that has observed DU, so it here it comes again.

that last link looks very sketchy. Solar eclipses and biblical patterns cause economic crises, selling books to back up such claims. Prepper ads. End times.

It doesn't change the message, Cal, the historical trends, nor the situation.

I would say that it bothers me not, but it does. I have far too many people that I have become fond of over the years on DU than to not point out the obvious to those whom it might not be so obvious.

You are more than welcome to shoot me down, put me on ignore, or tell me I'm an absolute idiot.

Your choice.

I didn't do any of those things. What the hell?

Good night.

Back in the 1970s, "prepper" meant you were preparing for college. Funny how language changes.

to talk about how corporations fuck us over. We know this. The financial system is way more insidious and vigorous at fucking us over.

Offered it as a heads up. I'd probably get my money into something very stable.

Well for me, I am a firm believer in the Bible and numbers are part of the foundation for everything in the written word. So when it comes to biblical truths, there are no coincidences. It's all planned perfectly just as the creation of everything you see here on earth and in the skies/heavens.

This year I've got a wedding and a 1st year college student to pay for. Once that is behind me, my wife and I are going to spend every available cent to prepare for what's coming. I've been holding out long enough. Although yes I have in the past [some 4 years ago] gone out and stocked on food, which is all gone now but at least I had something stored up.

But now with soooo many signs taking place that point to so much more than most people realize, I'd rather be on the side of caution and preparedness than one who cares more about the iPhone6 and the latest viral video.

This time it's not only food but the essentials as well. Heed the warning signs folks....and lean on the side of prudence and not ignorance.

Okay, feel free to jeer, call me some sort of whacked out religious nut (which I am a very strong agnostic, thank you very much), and general dismiss my opinion.

We all have them. Enjoy yours.

It always comes from directions that "can't lose value." Property value, and student loans where they are legally bound to repay them and cannot erase them with bankruptcy.

This one will include that and corporate property.

20. I don't think the USA has been hit yet, like some other countries have been hit.
Sat Apr 18, 2015, 02:39 AM

It's like, the USA hasn't been bombed yet, like some other countries have been bombed.

The USA is a winner in the international marketplace.
The USA is the only power that can drop bombs anywhere in the world, with impunity. If you don't like it then you'll be sanctioned, you shitheads!

The USA has a military oriented economy, which produces a gov't controlled commodity, military hardware, providing secure jobs in areas where military hardware is produced. It's largely paid for by taxes, a war budget that dwarfs the whole planet, a war budget that almost equals that of the rest of the world combined. This economy doesn't owe to a "free market", it owes to political decisions propelled by lobbyists who are now embarked on a $4billion smoke and mirrors show, which they call an "election".

The US arms industry is paid for by the US national debt.
Haliburton didn't win its obscene profits from a fair and free market, in a peaceful world of folk trading goods.
Not even close.

Internationally, US gov'ts haven't cared for democracy, as such, except for isolated cases like during the Carter administration. The US has mostly used the term 'democracy' as a charade, a self-glorification ("they hate us for our freedoms&quot , even while overthrowing democratically elected gov'ts across the world and installing right-wing despots who march to their tune. Think Kissinger and Chile. Think Hillary Clinton and Honduras. What a picture that makes.

But this hasn't come home to the USA, yet.
The karma is still brewing.

sites that have anything about the September collapse. The stock market did a slight correction on Friday AND Bloomberg terminals went down for a bit, which is definitely interesting, but...

I would like to read information from some, at least semi-, legitimate sites - WND and Alex Jones and biblical sites don't hold water - especially if it is all predicated on gematria (Qaballah numerology reduction).

Yes, 2008 was definitely predicted years before hand and with the SF housing market, along with Vancouver BC's and other places, exploding price, along with all the stock buy-backs with the corporate sector (I understand that means that the BoD and exec's are manipulating the stock price when they buy it back), there are signs.

I've been looking for European economists talking about it but can't find any.

Now for the OP - if it happens again, soon, I think that people will be fed up and something could spark. When you have grandma moving in with the kids, people know in their hearts something is drastically wrong with the system.

Occupy didn't work because there was no one with enough balls/vagina to stand up and be the spokes model. I don't think following 25 y/o's is a good idea either because they do not have enough Life Experience, which is what you need if you want to start a revolution. Every time someone does stand up and speak they are swiftly marginalized to the point of never being heard from again.

Then we have TPP on deck - yee haw.

I hate to say that we'll have to wait to see what happens because by then it will probably be too late.
