Slate 4/19/15: Obama Voices Support for Medical Marijuana in Cable News Interview

link: http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2015/04/19/obama_voices_support_for_medical_marijuana_in_cable_news_interview.html

In direct contradiction to this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026533107

Excerpt:

<<snip>>

Pres Obama: "You know, I think I'd have to take a look at the details, but I'm on record as saying that not only do I think carefully prescribed medical use of marijuana may in fact be appropriate and we should follow the science as opposed to ideology on this issue, but I'm also on record as saying that the more we treat some of these issues related to drug abuse from a public health model and not just from an incarceration model, the better off we're going to be."

Posted for DUers perusal. I have to work now, not hit and run. Back later. Cheers.

Blaming Obama for what they know GOP congress won't take up is considered strategic deception.

They really think Dems are dumb enough to swallow what they cooked up.

Until then? He might as well be saying it to the woman who interviewed him whose claim to fame is being a YouTuber who ate cereal out of the tub of milk she was sitting in.

For them to actually be ahead on this story speaks to the reality of the future - cannabis is a highly useful and profitable cash crop and those seeking to hold it back will be overridden sooner than later.
