Why and when is violence acceptable to taxpaying voters?

how do you draw the line between acceptable violence and oppression, and the sort
of naughty behavior that clenches drawers?
I tend to think all these quick draw cops take their cues from foreign and domestic policies that leave people dead or injured.
Where exactly does it become a no-no?

Im guessing when it happens too close to home.

It may be that the line has already been removed. There comes a point where state violence cares not at all for the question of whether it's "acceptable" to taxpaying voters or anyone else.

Domestically, the pushback against citizens of the US really ramped up over the last ten years.
I cant believe the acts of pepper spraying and "non-lethal" projectiles being used to attempt murder upon veterans
protesting peacefully. Dark times.
We used to be restrained by the lessons of Kent State and Vietnam.

those restraints are long gone.
