It wasn't just the swift boaters with Kerry, the media for about a week tried to push the right wing rumor that Kerry was having an affair with a campaign volunteer. It would have stuck until the volunteer came out and told them it was hogwash.

They constantly made fun of Kerry on the IWR when he tried to explain his procedural vote. Similar to the way they portrayed Al Gore and the Internet. They were attacking Obama for Wright and the weather underground, and pretty much allowing free time questioning if Obama was a citizen or a Muslim, or anyone of a number of issues which they knew the truth about, but felt it wasn't their responsibility to point that out.

The point of this OP in my view only puts emphasis that they don't have any evidence of wrong doing, but are implying it

There are plenty of known Hillary's record that they can question that they should not have to resort to unsubstantiated junk

Heck, they admit they never read the book yet alone verified its accusations.. That is a shame
