When Rand Paul was young, didn't he try to force a young woman to ingest drugs and pray to the god Aqua Buddha?
Looks like the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree...

William Paul, the 22-year-old son of Republican presidential candidate and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, was issued a citation over the weekend for driving while under the influence of alcohol, according to a report from local NBC affiliate LEX 18.
Police reportedly found Paul sitting in the drivers seat after he allegedly hit a parked car. The report reads:
A witness told police that she had spotted William Paul sitting at the intersection of Woodland Ave and Old Vine revving the engine of his car. A few minutes later that same witness heard a loud crash.
The vehicle Paul was in was not his and there was no insurance on the vehicle. William was by himself in the car, and no one was in the parked car that he allegedly struck.
The young man was taken to the hospital, which police say explains why he was not immediately arrested, and refused to take a breathalyzer and blood test. In two separate incidents in 2013, William Paul was charged with possession of alcohol as a minor and simple assault against a flight attendant. Those charges were all subsequently dropped after he completed a diversion program.

(15,805 posts)We don't like it when Republicans take the low road and go after the president's family. Maybe we shouldn't follow in their footsteps and mock this young man's drinking problem just because of who his father is.
We can do better than this.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul's son has been charged with assaulting a flight attendant during a trip from Kentucky to North Carolina.
The newspaper quoted Lt. Shawn Crooks as saying all the charges against Paul were filed the day of the incident, Jan. 5.
Police officials did not immediately return telephone messages from The Associated Press on Monday.
The son of the Republican senator from Kentucky and grandson of former presidential candidate Ron Paul was arrested after his plane landed at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
