Hell, he beat McCain by 8, and McCain had the advantage of an at least mostly-unified Republican Party .

I see President Obama hovering in the upper forties to fifty range.

5. There is no way it's going to be 5% or under.

Some people like President Obama, some people don't like him.

But everyone hates Mitt Romney.

It's just as simple as that.

6. You need more choices ... it will be above 5%, under 8%.

My sense is that it'll be about 6% again.

Should be MUCH higher. He stopped the collapse of the entire economy. The media will ignore that and claim that Romney might have stopped it too.

It will not be a 1% election.

Also ... Obama will have more than 300 electoral college votes. He wins PA, wins CO, wins NM, he can lose FL, OH, and a bunch of other "swing states" ...

Romney's TOP EC outcome is about 280, at best. Obama could get over 350.

The media will try to avoid discussing this reality ... because if it becomes clear that Obama can't be beat, lots of the pundits can be laid off. Opps.

How does he get 53% or more of the pop vote.

That would be unprecedented.

The media needs a "horserace" to keep their viewership so they will define it as such. Our job is to assure that everyone who can vote is registered, or re-registered. And keep talking to your neighbors about how Rmoney is the candidate of the 1%.

12. It is six freaking months until the election!!!

Do you all mind if we all eschew victory laps until we actually win the fucking election?

These posts do nothing but support complacency, something which Democrats cannot afford to do.

If you don't mind, I want to remind you of DU here in 2004, when six months before the election many here were making similar posts, the election was in the bag!

Elections are never in the bag! Especially six months out.

I refuse to vote in this unrealistic poll.
