(16,184 posts)He'll be right at home with Maher.

(55,745 posts)...you smear him. Sad thing for anyone to write, especially on DU.
For those interested in learning what RFK Jr. was talking about:
Mass Media ignoring 'RFK Believed in Conspiracy' shows corrupt nature of America's Press
NuclearDem
(16,184 posts)In fact, I respect RFK Jr for his work on the environment.
But on vaccines, he's an anti-vaxx asshat who compared the alleged vaccine-autism connection to the Holocaust.
Even if I did care about the JFK assassination, this is about his stance on vaccines, not his opinion of the Warren Commission. He might right about the latter, but he's dead wrong about the former.
Octafish
(55,745 posts)People who don't know all the good things about him, will remember him being an asshat.
As for what his father said about the Warren Commission, all Americans, starting with those who call themselves Democrats, should care.
NuclearDem
(16,184 posts)If we doesn't want to be remembered as an asshat, he should stop acting like an asshat.
JFK and the Warren Commission have absolutely nothing to do with this issue about vaccination.

(1,596 posts)But isn't he an anti-vaxer?
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)over some vaccines. Anti-vaxx is, to quote Monalisa Vito again, from My Cousin Vinney, an 'industry term'
Not being a scientist myself, I don't know whether he is right or wrong.
I don't read anything that contains personal attacks, epithets or name calling of any kind on subjects that deserve to be taken seriously.
Never been swayed by people who reduce their arguments to name calling.
However if I ever see a cogent, respectful analysis of his position on vaccines here, I will read it.
I support using vaccines btw. I also support being certain that any drug, vaccine or medical treatment, is safe. So I'm interested in adult discussions which provide credible information.
Definitely turned off by epithets and name-calling.
If your argument is good, you don't need them.

(41,692 posts)You do know that this is the go-to quote for Republicans regarding Climate change.
Because you're not a science you can't figure out that Anti-Vaxxers are dangerous and assholes?
Dude is top of the heap for Anti-Vaxxers. He repeats over and over again that thimerosal in vaccines causes autism, a claim that's been thoroughly debunked.
Great article showing what a quack this guy is.

Personally I think anyone who defends this quack is most likely an Anti-Vaxxer.

(57,349 posts)Yep, they just won't come out and admit it on DU.
Wow, look at that: "a cogent, respectful analysis of his position on vaccines"
Oh, but I'm pro-"safe" vaccine...

(57,349 posts)Those evil scientists and pharmaceutical corporations lie about everything, why should we believe them when they say vaccines don't cause autism?

(57,349 posts)But his opinion on vaccines is fucked up too.
He doesn't think you need them.
"Stop calling these people kooks and liars"
Sorry, Bill, that's what they are.
