The reception Sanders received — several delegates called him “electric” — surprised Rep. James E. Clyburn, the state’s most powerful Democrat, who took it all in from the back of the hall.
“I really did not anticipate that from Bernie,” Clyburn said. “It says something about people’s thirst and hunger for a real message.”

While I like the idea of Bernie running, he's polling at 3% in the real world and unfortunately he created his own demise for president by calling himself a socialist. The attack ads will be horrific and there is no way in living hell this country is electing a self avowed socialist.

i hate to tell you but one of the discussion rules of thumb is, if you have to try to use "the real world" to denigrate the people you are arguing against, then odds are fair to good that you're the one standing on the outside.

It's sort of like admonishing others to 'wake up!" in that it carries the notion that you are specially aware and informed and all others not you are cretins in need of your guidance.
