Black people being harassed and killed by cops all the time. The President should be treating that like a national emergency.

Can't you do more than tell us how you feel? Can't you have the DOJ do something to quell these unconscionable actions by the police?

Obama said he spoke with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Monday. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who was sworn in Monday, said the Justice Department is investigating Gray's death.

Just hours after she was sworn in, Lynch was at the White House on Monday evening meeting with Obama to discuss the violent protests unfolding in Baltimore. She said she will send Vanita Gupta, the head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, and Ronald Davis, director of Community Oriented Policing Services, to Baltimore "in the coming days" to meet with religious and community leaders.

Everyone in the US needs to read the book, Non-violent Communication.t

Certainly, that book should be on the mandatory reading list of every person who is hired by a police department. The officers should all be tested on their ability to implement in their work the tools the book teaches.

And there should be a required course on it in every school in the nation.

Maybe, first, though, you'll explain to us all exactly HOW the TPP will do ANY LESS DAMAGE to the lives of those kids than NAFTA and the other free-trade agreements that put their fathers out of work and their families in poverty!

Maybe Obama figures that when all that international cash starts flowing into all those billionaire's pockets, they'll FINALLY OVERFLOW, and start that trickle-down stuff that Reagan told us about when I was young!

I doubt it, but maybe!

Untill police suffer when they kill young black men they will continue to do it and unrest will continue.

Mow bigety isn't only problem. It's also cycle of police protecting other police.

Here in missouri we had a democratic prosecutor baised towards police that in michael brown case with grand jury he acted as darren
wilson's lawyer. And wilson wasn't charged or even fired.he was able to resign on his own.

he shouldn't have used the word thugs though. These kids are venting against injustice and they feel neglected by higher authority
that should have been looking out for them. In their eyes enough is enough.

Let me be clear that I am not advocating violence, but we should not be surprised when we see violence like like last night erupts on TV.
