Amazing--there was a notice on the door at my polling place today (Wisconsin)

--just an ordinary 8.5x11 sheet of paper, printed in blue & red, that listed the real & fake Dem candidates, identifying the fakes as Republicans (in red letters). I have no idea if this was even legal, but I was happy to see it there.

They are using a new style of paper ballot also, but the poll workers were extremely careful to explain to everyone exactly how to use it, telling us to make sure to vote for only 1 candidate for Governor, etc.

Turnout looked pretty good. And nobody asked for ID. I had heard that the Republicans were going to try to suppress voting in some places by fraudulently telling people they need ID, but I saw no sign of it.

100 feet of the polls? No matter who is doing it it is wrong IMO...

2. Well, it was more just information than advertising.

If your goal was to vote for fake Democrats, you would have perhaps found it useful too.

I am a former county party officer (in KS) and have been a poll watcher many times. Anything that could be construed as campaigning near the polling location is likely illegal.

I just love Wisconsin so much after seeing the protests and strength of character of its citizens. I want Walker out as much as you do! You guys deserve so much better!

Have there been voter registration laws (and we know what that means) enacted in WI?

.... at about 1:15 I got a ballot number just over 100. Hope the red voters are staying home now and in June.

At 12:15 p.m. I was #256. I was surprised the turnout was as high as it was. We do not even have a State Senate race in this area.

10. Not much to bring the Republicans out except maybe to vote for spoiler candidates.

And that's a pretty futile effort. The spoilers served their purpose by forcing the primary.

Ed Schultz from MSNBC has been advocating against Scotty which is duly justified. It appears that Tom Barrett may be the victor in today's election concerning the Democratic contender which will go up against Scotty the Delusional. Like many of his gopper comrades - the sense of insane-ship is strong among these folks which seems to embrace to a religious cult and believing that they have the sole channel to GAWD.

I think the Democratic party will be watching very closely to the up-coming recall election because this will be give them insight of how the insane party of no will cheat.

appointing people to Cabinet posts like the DNR who decline to investigate, let alone prosecute, environmental violations, and passing much weaker restrictions on mines. They're trying to permit a mine near Lake Superior without significant public hearings or much of a real impact statement. And so on.
