And by conservative dumbasses, that includes Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, who out of extreme morbid curiosity I chose to stomach about 20 minutes of on my way home. Neither of those two brain cases thought there was anything in the Freddie Gray case that would support a charge of Second Degree Murder.

Going back to Adam and Bill, imagine that, instead of hitting Bill over the head with the tire iron, Adam grabbed his gun and fired in anger into a crowd of onlookers. Adam didn't necessarily mean to kill anyone, but also didn't give any thought to the harm that his actions could cause in the crowd. This demonstrates Adams depraved indifference to human life. If one of Adams bullets struck and killed anyone in the crowd, then Adam has probably committed second degree murder.

So if police throw a man into the back of a police van with his arms and legs shackled, and they don't bother to buckle him in as per required protocol, and the driver of said van intentionally drives the van in a rough and haphazard manner out of spite to the prisoner due to the prisoner being less than cooperative, and he know that might cause serious injury or death to the prisoner but he just doesn't care, then boom: depraved heart murder.
