A former ally of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie pleaded guilty Friday morning to charges related to the closure of lanes on the George Washington Bridge in 2013, while two others were indicted in the case.

before one of them has the decency, integrity, and sense to place the responsibility squarely on Christie's shoulders?

McCord was serious when he offered to be shot if it would help the Watergate cover-up. Often these people construe "decency, integrity and sense" to mean standing by the boss at any cost. They think of it in terms of personal loyalty and value it highly. It is an attitude well exploited by the unscrupulous, not that anyone would think of accusing Mr Christie of being unscrupulous.
