I think DU overwhelming respects Bernie Sanders.

He has said he will NOT be a spoiler and is running in the Democratic primary. That means he is not taking away votes in favor of a Republican. Big difference. He is the FDR Democrat alternative.

Bernie's campaign mainstreamed Greens as Democrats.

If you recall Nader and his supporters were mercilessly guilt tripped for not running as a Democrat. All the progressives assured him they would have supported him had he opted not to play spoiler. Bernie's not playing spoiler so what's your problem, Nader haters?

Nader ran as a 3rd-party candidate in the general election. Comparing Sanders to Nader is a total non-sequitor.
