This is the rethugs talking point for today.

What else do you expect from West Virginia?

Keith Judd, Texas Inmate, Gets 40 Percent Of Votes Against Obama In West Virginia Democratic Primary

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas is getting 4 out of 10 votes in West Virginia's Democratic presidential primary.

The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. With 83 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving 60 percent of the vote to Judd's 40 percent.

For some West Virginia Democrats, simply running against Obama is enough to get Judd votes.

"I voted against Obama," said Ronnie Brown, a 43-year-old electrician from Cross Lanes who called himself a conservative Democrat. "I don't like him. He didn't carry the state before and I'm not going to let him carry it again."

If he, by your own words, didn't win before.

Nitpicking the screwed up phrasing in that sentence..

It's not possible to let Obama carry the election *again* if he didn't carry it in the past..

In the General Election they will be free to vote for either candidate.

While you might not like this one particular person's perception - you completely missed the point the 40% of the Democrats made by voting for some one in Jail rather then a sitting President

But don't let me stop you from killing the messenger

West Virginia was never, ever going to vote for Obama. The idiotic messenger, this representative of the WV electorate with the poor grammar, isnt telling us anything we didn't already know. And it doesn't signify anything other than the fact that the state is full of hillbillies. It's not a harbinger of things to come elsewhere.

What exactly am I deliberately ignoring here? What should I have gleaned from this that I, in your opinion, did not?

If so, it just shows how many Republicans can't make themselves vote for Romney.

17. I'd think Republicans would at least respect Obama for what he did today

the way a lot of liberals may have respected Santorum for being consistent and true to his ideals (while vomiting over the substance of those ideals). Obama took a risk today and stuck his neck out on a controversial issue. This is something Romney simply cannot bring himself to do. It's what right wingers hate in Romney. I'd think that while they're hating on Obama, right wingers still have to give him respect for being a better man than their current candidate.
