So why did Geller choose Garland as the site of her event?

This might help explain things:

Thousands Protest Muslim Conference in Garland

Thousands of protesters and counter-protesters held American flags and signs outside of a Muslim conference in Garland, Texas, on Saturday night.

"We're here to stand up for the American way of life from a faction of people who are trying to destroy us," a man protesting the conference said.

The demonstrations began hours before the start of the program at the Curtis Culwell Center, which is operated by the Garland Independent School District.

The conference is titled, “Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate” and bills itself as a fundraiser to build a center dedicated to teaching Muslims how to combat negative depictions of their faith.

Now do you have to wonder about Geller's exact motives for her "free speech event"?

It just so happens that the one place in the entire country she decides to hold this event was where there was pre-existing tensions in the community regarding Islam?

Does anyone buy this as a total coincidence?

One can just imagine what this would have been like. Dale, of course, would buy into Geller's BS 100 percent, Peggy would be all up in arms, and Hank wouldn't know which way to turn.

Usually cajoled by Peggy.

Fun fact: Dear old John Edwards (remember him? ) used to say that he tried to work for Hank Hill's vote.

......this is where it's at. This shows her motive:

The art exhibit and contest will be held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland on May 3rd. ”This was the site of a Muslim conference denouncing ‘Islamophobia’ — an obscene stand for them to take after the Charlie Hebdo massacre – and our massive Free Speech Rally outside that event,” Geller wrote in a press release obtained by Breitbart Texas

Same state where a Texas rancher held pig races next door to a Mosque and timed it to coincide with prayer services. The special intersection of hate and stupid may not reside only in Texas, but is certainly exemplified here far too often for my own comfort.

Geller knew she was baiting both her base and her "enemies"... and it takes a special kind of stupid to deny that.

In the very place where a Muslim conference AGAINST TERROR AND HATE was confronted by Islamophobic harassment, Geller chose to try to further antagonize the DFW area Muslim community-- which refused to take the bait. Those who advocate for "provoking" behaviors should just go ahead and admit that what they favor is harassment over religion.
