So many women here in the US are brainwashed by the GOP and couldn't care less that they make less than their male counterparts. It's sad, but it's a reality in America.

The bigger and more diverse the country, the more difficult it is to pull something like that off.

Gender equality is a very positive thing. I wonder how Icelandic women feel about recognizing the IWC moratorium on commercial whaling? Is it more the Icelandic men who support whaling?
