And the drumbeat of rain and thunderstorms goes on.
With a cold front moving into eastern Nebraska and western Iowa today, severe storms could develop this afternoon, forecasters say.
Today, the Omaha area can expect a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before noon, and a high temperature near 74. And the National Weather Service Office in Valley, Nebraska, called for a 50 percent chance of more showers and thunderstorms tonight.
The forecasted precipitation comes on the heels of heavy rain across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa on Wednesday night and early today.
