So today we learn that the Maryland governor is rolling toll rates back to the 1970s.

What a great guy! Yippee! Save a few bucks. How wonderful.

Of course, in the wake of this, there is no doubt the Road Fairy will take care of the state's crumbling infrastructure.

just like grocery sales taxes. Rich people don't sweat them while poor people might actually have to budget for them if they want to go somewhere.

Maryland has a high gas tax rate and it is supposed to be used for roads and infrastructure. Sure would like to know where it is used. Tolls are outrageous. Sorry but almost 20 bucks to get out of Maryland going North. This will save the working class and poor a lot of money especially if gas stays low.

saying it wasn't enough to repair roads. It's now 30.3 per gallon and I don't know what they're doing with it. There are some repairs going on locally but our roads really need to be repaved, not patched.

This was a pure stunt to make him appear to give a fuck.

He is the prototypical pasty old white guy who only cares about other pasty old white guys.

Fuck him.

My husband does a lot of driving for his nearly minimum wage job and sometimes goes through the Harbor Tunnel a few times in one day. That's $16. It's almost not worth it for him to work.
