(21,786 posts)the Scottish independence referendum failed, but it was 55% "no" to 45% "yes". If you translate that 45% nationalist/SNP support into parliamentary votes and consider that the unionist vote is split between Labour and the Lib Dems (and to a much lesser extent the Tories)? It's not much of a surprise that Labour are being wiped out.
