So after 4 year of having to hear about Obama secretly not being an American

The Republicans run someone in the presidential primaries that is at the same time secretly becoming a Swiss citizen.

Michele Bachmann just got dual citizenship in Switzerland! Seriously?

Mrs. "Let Obama's Birth Certificate Be Examined" Bachmann just went off and joined another country as a citizen. I'm glad to hear she did it for her kids. So it's ok to abandon America if it's for your kids IF YOUR REPUBLICAN. Well I'm sure the right wing will be all up in arms. I mean any hint of not loving America enough gets them all mad. I mean any day I'm sure will hear a huge roar. In the mean time seriously is there no issue that Republicans aren't hypocrites on? I really thought the whole American citizenship issue was safe until now...

Not that I personally have anything against people with dual citizenship, it's just I'm a little surprised these xenophobic Republicans seem to have no problem with it. It's almost like they aren't really xenophobic they just play one for their voter

1. Personally I do have a problem with dual-citizenship for those seeking national office.

Particularly when that citizen is an international megaconglomerate exercising it's first amendment right for unlimited spending on US politics.

her constituents back in Minnesota would like to hear that their Congressperson has somehow formed a new allegiance with another country? Wouldn't want that if I lived there. But, of course, I wouldn't have voted for her anyway.

"Swiss citizens are required to buy universal health insurance from private insurance companies, which in turn are required to accept every applicant. This system permits access to a broad range of modern medical services. The healthcare system compares well with other European countries and patients are largely satisfied with it."

Swiss = white folks; Kenyans = black folks

Therein lies the reason for no outcry I suspect.

And never plans to run for office again. The teabaggers will crucify her for this.

And THAT is a good thing.

She'll expect everyone over there to speak to her in english...

But she'll still tout her finely honed french/german/italian language skills because she'll know just enough to order from a menu....
